We now offer the chance to hire the historic and beautiful grounds of the Forge Mill Needle Museum and Bordesley Abbey Visitor Centre for wedding receptions, parties and fundraising events.
We have an attractive outdoor space, with the backdrop of a 16th century barn, Victorian Needle Mill and picturesque Mill Pond.
As part of the complex we have a light and airy Function Room, which is the new wing of a 16th century barn. The room can be set out in a variety of ways and is ideal for:
- Group meetings
We charge £16.30 per hour (inc VAT) and the room can be usually hired between the hours of 9.30am to 4.30pm. Out of museum opening hours we charge £25.00 per hour (inc VAT).
Tea/coffee: £15 extra.
Covered Cloistered Courtyard
Our covered Cloistered Courtyard area has café style chairs and tables and is adjacent to our popular children’s adventure play area. This is a lovely area and suitable for events like:
- Wedding Receptions
We charge £40.00 per hour (inc VAT), and this area can be usually hired during museum opening hours from 11.00am to 4.00pm. (Note that the adjacent Play Area will be open to the general public at this time).
For evening functions, the Cloister area can be hired outside of normal museum opening hours, until 10.30pm, at a cost of £70.00 per hour (inc VAT). Any clearing away can be done the following day between 9.30 and 10.30am. We reserve the right to charge an hourly rate until the site is cleared to our satisfaction.
Adventure Play Area
For children’s parties, our large Adventure Play Area can be hired exclusively from 4.00 to 6.00pm at a charge of £40.00 per hour (inc VAT). Included in with the charge will be use of our back rotunda, which is a small covered area including picnic tables.
The Play Area can be hired outside of these and normal museum opening hours at a cost of £70.00 per hour (inc VAT).
Other Hires and Arrangements
