The Museum is open at the times listed below.

MAIN SEASON - 1 April to 2 November 2025

MUSEUM, SHOP and VISITOR CENTRE
All days: 10.00am to 4.00pm

GROUNDS and COFFEE BAR
All days: 10.00am to 4.30pm

GUIDED TOURS of Forge Mill are run every Tuesday at 11.00am from April to September inclusive. Normal museum entry charge applies.

LATE AUTUMN SEASON - 3 to 24 November 2025

CHRISTMAS CLOSURE
Please note that the entire site is closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

Last admission is one hour before closing time.

The waterwheel and original Victorian mill machinery is currently undergoing repairs, but would normally be working on Tuesday afternoons and weekends (March to October), and also for schools and group visits. Please contact the museum for the latest updates.
