The museum's Keeper of Collections, Jo-Ann Gloger, offers a fascinating talk on the history of Victorian needle making, called 'There is more to a needle than meets the eye'.
Jo-Ann will come out and visit groups at their meeting place and gives an illustrated slide show, based on Forge Mill and its associated history of needle making. The talk also includes interesting examples of the more unusual aspects of the museum's collection.
The talk needs to be booked well in advance, and costs £40 and can be tailored to your group's needs. The talk is an excellent introduction to the site and we are sure you will feel encouraged to pay us a visit as a group booking for an interesting day/evening out.
Contact Jo-Ann at the museum to make a booking for her talk.
