Bordesley Abbey Visitor Centre<\/h1>\n

The Visitor Centre, which is set in an original reconstructed 16th Century barn, shows many of the finds that have been excavated by the archaeologists over the years.<\/p>\n

These exhibits reveal more about the life of the Cistercian monks of Bordesley \u2013 from how they worshipped, to the clothes they wore, to the illnesses they suffered.<\/p>\n

Bordesley Abbey had one of the earliest metal working mills in the country and you can see the preserved timbers from the mill on display, as well as many of the metal items that would have been made there.<\/p>\n

Surrounding the Visitor Centre is a large pleasant area of grassed space with picnic tables for visitors to use and enjoy.<\/p>\n
