Forge Mill Needle Museum, Bordesley Abbey Visitor Centre

19 and 20 September 2015

On 19 and 20 September 2015, the public were given the opportunity to learn how to carve stone in the unique setting of the ruins of Bordesley Abbey, Redditch where stone masons would have laboured hundreds of years ago.

The workshop leader, Andy DeComyn, is an international public artist experienced with working with stone. He led the participants on the two-day workshop so they could produce a medieval style gargoyle or grotesque of their own.
